Caspian
OPL have been active in the Caspian regiion since early 2007. On behalf of BP Exploration we have been supporting Botas International Limited (BIL), the designated operators of the Turkish section of the BTC Pipeline.
The Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan Pipeline is the second largest pipeline in the world, designed to transport 1 million barrels of crude per day. OPL was chosen to introduce and embed Operations Excellence behaviours into the BIL organisation on behalf of BP.
Our Turkish colleagues have embraced the OPL approach wholeheartedly and are seeing excellent results.
With business interests in Azerbaijan and Georgia, we intend to develop our activities throughout the Caspian region. These will be supported from our office in Turkey.
